Every year EA sports introduce a new game of FIFA series, and with a new game, they also present a new cover star.

The cover star is a player that is displayed on the cover of the game. A cover star may also include a single-player or a multiples player.

EA Sports has released more than 35 FIFA games in a span of 27 years. Almost all the FIFA game contains an individual or multiples cover star.

In 1990 EA sports release FIFA International Soccer game who cover stars was Piotr Świerczewski and David Platt, Packie Bonner and Ruud Gullit were also seen in some copies of this game.

The second release by EA was FIFA 95 on November 10, 1994, whose cover star was Erik Thorstvedt and Alexi Lalas was also presented in some versions.

FIFA 96 was published on September 30, 1995, whose cover star was Frank de Boer and in the European version of the game, the cover star was Jason McAteer.

The next game of the series FIFA 97 was released on November 30, 1996, Bebeto for the rest of the world and David Ginola in the European version.

EA sports issued their next game with the name of FIFA: Road to World Cup 98 on November 8, 1997, which had cover stars different for different countries.

Roy Lassiter was the cover star for the USA, for the UK it was David Beckham, for Italy it was Paolo Maldini, for France the star was David Ginola, for Germany it was Andreas Möller, and for Spain the star was Raúl.

FIFA 99 that was available for all the user on November 30, 1998 also has many cover star like Kasey Keller for USA, Fabien Barthez for France, Hidetoshi Nakata for Japan, Olaf Thon for Germany, Rui Costa for Portugal, Christian Vieri for Italy, Ahn Jung-hwan for South Korea, Fernando Morientes for Spain), and Dennis Bergkamp for the rest of the world.

In 2013 Ea sports release FIFA 14 who has got a huge number of cover stars. Almost all the countries display a different cover star.

Javier Hernández was the cover star for North America, for Stephan El Shaarawy it was Italy, Radamel Falcao and Arturo Vidal was the star for multiples countries like Chile, Argentina, Panama, and Venezuela.

Gareth Bale was the star for the United Kingdom, Michal Kadlec was for the Czech Republic), for Poland, it was Robert Lewandowski, Balázs Dzsudzsák was a star for Hungary, for Switzerland it was Xherdan Shaqiri.

 David Alaba was the star for Austria, for Australia it was Tim Cahill, for Japan the star was Makoto Hasebe and Maya, for the middle east it was Mustafa Al-Bassas, while for the rest of the world the cover star was Lionel Messi.

FIFA 16 was available for all the gamers in 2015 whose with many cover stars. Jordan Henderson was the cover star for the UK, for Japan it was Shinji Kagawa, for Austria it was David Alaba, for Brazil the star was Oscar.

Antoine Griezmann was the cover star for France, Eden Hazard was for Belgium, for Switzerland it was Yann Sommer.

Juan Cuadrado was the star for Latin America, for Mexico it was Marco Fabián, Steph Catley & Tim Cahill was for Australia, for the USA it was Alex Morgan, for Canada the star was Christine Sinclair, Mauro Icardi was the star for Italy.

The cover star for FIFA 15 was Lionel Messi for the rest of the world while for UK, France, Netherlands, and Belgium it was Eden Hazard, for the USA it was Clint Dempsey, and for the Arabian countries, the star was Yahya Al-Shehri.

In 2016 FIFA 17 was published by EA Sports. This edition got only a single cover star. Marco Reus was the cover star for FIFA 17. FIFA 18 was released on September 29, 2017, who cover star was Ronaldo.

The latest release of series was FIFA 19 on September 28, 2018, who cover stars are Ronaldo and Messi.
