League Patch 12.5 is live, and players are thrilled with the new changes. See which champions get nerfed and buffed.

League of Legends is having a fantastic year with 2022 as the popular MOBA game brings out new Champions and new skin sets. With Patch 12.5 about to go live, many players with LoL accounts are expecting some exciting things. The mid-patch update will feature several nerfs to some of the stronger champions in the game and some buffs for several other characters. A new skin line will also BEE introduced.

    Main Patch Highlight

Master Yi Changes to Try Out New Builds

Recently, Master Yi and Duskblade if Draktharr has been like salt and pepper. The two go so well together that the item has pushed the champion far above the champion tier list. Riot feels like the Wuju Blademaster’s kit is too dominating when paired with Duskblade. They are making some impactful tweaks to the champion’s abilities so that players won’t spam AD items to win matches for quick ELO boosts.

The gaming studio has made significant changes to Master Yi’s Alpha Strike (Q) by having the skill have on-hit damage and reducing its base damage. This change is to encourage players to use critical-build items or on-hit builds. His Wuju Style (E) will also get a slight nerf as the ability’s base damage will deal less damage. Here are the specific details for the blademaster’s skills:

⦁ Alpha Strike – From 25/60/95/130/165 (+90% AD) with reduced damage by 75% for multiple hits on the same target to 30/60/90/120/150 (+60% AD) with reduced damage by 75% for multiple hits on the same target. Each mark of Q will also apply on-hit effects, including his E skill.

    ⦁ Wuju Style – From 30/40/50/60/70 (+35% bonus AD) to 30/38/46/54/62 (+35% bonus AD)

Dialing Down Ahri A Few Notch

The recently reworked Nine-Tailed Fox has been dominating most of her matches. Though Riot is happy with how things worked out with the champion, developers feel that they need to add some fixes so that Ahri doesn’t become too OP. The fan-favorite champion was patched to be more mana hungry in the recent patch. Here are the more specific details for the powerful vixen:

⦁ Fox Fire – From 60/85/110/135/160 (+30% AP) to 50/75/100/125/150 (+30% AP). The mana cost goes from 50 to 60.

⦁ Charm – From 50 Mana Cost to 60 Mana Cost

Slight Nerfs to Xin Zhao’s Dominance in the Jungle

Xin Zhao has been on the top of the jungle meta for now. His ability to dive into clashes, pick off enemies, and survive has made him an invaluable carry to many teams. Riot wants jungle players to think twice before diving into groups of enemies with the Seneschal of Demacia. Here are the more specific details for the Xin Zhao nerfs:

⦁ Audacious Charge – From 11 seconds cooldown to 12 seconds cooldown

⦁ Crescent Guard – From 5 seconds invulnerability period to 4 seconds.

    Changes to the Hullbreaker

The item is getting a much-needed nerf when being used by ranged champions. Hullbreaker has been a cheese item for many champions like Quinn, who have been abusing the item to make them almost unkillable. Riot now thinks it is time to make players think twice about using the hammer when running using ranged champions. Here are the more specific details for the Hullbreaker nerf:

⦁ Boarding Party – Bonus Armor and Magic resist have been changed from 20-60 (levels 1-18) to 20-60 (1-18) for melee champions and 10-30 (levels 1-18) for ranged champions. Siege and Super Minion additional armor and magic resist have been altered from 60-180 (level 1-18) to 60-180 (level 1-18) for melee champions and 30-90 (level 1-18) for ranged characters.

New Additions to the Bee Skins Set

League of Legends has been known for adding fabulous and cute-looking cosmetics for all their champions. Riot has noticed how popular Bee Skins have been among players, so they have decided to add four more additional outfits to the set. Here are the new pollinating champions to be added to the game:

    ⦁ Heimerstinger

    ⦁ Nunu & Beelump

    ⦁ Orbeeanna

    ⦁ BZZZiggs

The skins are now available as Patch 12.5 goes live. Enjoy the new skins along with their chromas.

    Mythic Content Overhaul

For players who still have unused Prestige Points, sorry to say, they will not be able to use these points anymore. All 2020 Prestige Points have been removed from the game as part of the overhaul preparation. Fortunately, Gemstones are converted into Mythic Essence, which they can use later on once Mythic Content Rework is done.
