The world better be prepared for the League of Legends North America Challengers league (NACL) this summer from 10th June starting at 1 pm Pacific time on Twitch. Understanding The League
The NACL is operated by Riot Games andtheirpartnerRally Cry. It is a successor of the LCS. It was introduced at the beginning of 2023 as North America’s developmental ecosystem. The main aim is to nurture upcoming players and create a base to support future pro players to move them to the next levels of play while at the same time opening opportunities for a promising and thriving grass roots.
LoL Esports hopes to achieve this by opening up competitive opportunities for the Americas by providing competitions across the region, committing to three economic sustainability of the teams and offering a prize pool for the winners.

How to Participate
A team gets a chance to participate by first playing in a promotion tournament. But in order to get into the promotion tournament, teams have to sweat it out in the NACL qualifiers. The qualifiers are two tournaments that feature 32 teams, where the top 16 teams are filtered into GSL groups. The top 8 teams in each GSL group then participate in an elimination bracket.
The prize pool for the NACL qualifiers is $12,500 and teams get awarded points according to placement. The qualifiers also begin on 10th June and will also be broadcasted on twitch on Saturdays and Sundays.
What To Expect This Summer
Ten teams will be competing for an unbelievable $100k in prize money. The season will run for the normal six weeks and the top eight teams will qualify for playoffs which will be a double-elimination curtain raiser for the final to be held in August. In line with the mantra for the economic sustainability of teams as recently highlighted by Naz Aletaha the Global Head of LoL Esports, the company has partnered with Rally Cry to oversee the sharing of revenue with all the participating teams.
