The moment you get access to the shovel during gameplay, it will let you have the coins or consumables. On the other hand, the shovel in Sons of the Forest can allow you to find the entrance to some installations or caverns. You can’t find these two things without using the shovel.

How Can You Get The Shovel In Sons Of The Forest?
The moment you get the Rope Gun and the Rebreather, you can search for the shovel during gameplay. You will need to go east of the Rope Gun to find the cave, at the intersection of three rivers. You will be able to find the place easily because you can see three bodies in front of it.
- Go inside and use the rope on the left and slide down to the lower part of the cavern.
- Now turn to the left side. You will see a pool. Dive into it and use the Rebreather. Just keep swimming through the small places.
- Once you are out of the water, you will be standing in a steep section along with some mutants. Go along with the path and you will have to slide down into a pool. You will see three red cases.
- Next, there will be a large room where you see some mutants again. Go to the right and look for the path that will lead you to another large place. The place is lit with two lights and some bodies are placed in the ground. Stick to the left. You will see another path that will lead you to another pool. You should dive into the pool.
- Once you are out of the water, go straight, you will see the shovel.
Shovel Location: How To Find The Shovel
You will see the shovel on the western part of the map. It remains in a cave before a snowy mountain. You will see 3 workers. They are stuck on spikes. Before going inside the cave, go to the man that stands in the middle. Get slingshot.
Using the slingshot, break the board. It will make the entrance to the cave for you. Now, finally, go inside.
Where Can You Find The Shovel Inside The Cave?

How Can Players Get The Rope Gun And Rebreather In The Game, Sons Of The Forest?
I have already told you that without using the Rope Gun and the Rebreather, you will not be able to get access to the shovel that remains in the cave. So, you will have to access those things first.
You will find the Rope Gun in a cave that is situated west of the central snowy region. To get here, you will have to deal with the mutants with a considerable amount. After that, you will need to pass a Sluggy. Now, you will have to continue to go straight until you see a narrow tunnel. This tunnel will lead you to a steep path. You will need to go along with the left path. You will see the Rope Gun in a black box.
To get the Rebreather, head to the north. You will see a cave close to the beach. You should continue to go straight. You will find an area with some mutants and a light source that points to the path on the right.
From here you will need to go left. You will see a trail of orange jackets. Go straight and you will notice a watery pool with a shark in it. You will see the Rebreather at the end of the room.
